a piercing sound replaces every output

i've been using kx drivers for a few years now. lately i been doing music stuff on my computer more often, and running multiple audio programs at once.

wat i get more often these days is a kind of a crash. its where say im running Billy and Winamp, both mp3 players, and suddenly the music would just become a piercing sound, and subsequently everything that is output on the pc will be that sound. it forces me to restart my computer.

its happen to me before but ive ignored it since previously its occurance was lesser but now when im tryin to do audio work it becomes very disruptive.
iv also recently upgraded to version 3541.

Your issue sounds a little like the constant beeping noise issue, so you might want to take a look at the following thread: constant beeping noise instead of audio playback

Beyond the above, I have never experienced such problems, so I imagine the issue is related to system specific features/configurations, etc.
