Hey Mike, some people managed to reduce that problem with this hotfix:
AMD Game Forums - New 8.3 hotfix drivers for Crossfire users and none crossfire too
(Attention: one guy had his system completely screw him over, so take an image backup of your system if possible if you want to be safe)
