Cnn newsletters ?

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

recently I changed the settings in my profile to cnn
E-MAIL ALERTS/NEWSLETTERS

site and now I don't receive the desired newsletters
anymore. I already tried to unsubscribe and subscribe
a new several times but nothing works.

Could you please help me on this, I really don't know
anymore what to do.

i do not use the Cnn newsletters services, therefore i cannot define your real problem. i wish i could help you with the problem. but i cannot.

Pete_C over at the G4 Forums has already explained to you about this problem, and i think he already given you the best advice, which is, ... "In your case, the only option is to create a new account at CNN with a different email and do not unsubscribe"

i'm sorry that i have to get more info about this from somewhere else, and it seems to me that, no one can tell you exactly how to solve your problem at this point.
i also think your message will probably get rejected in every forums because some people probably thinks that you are spamming their forums.

Yes, we all understand that you signed up and then unsubscribed and it will not resubscribe.
We pointed out , as did people on the other forums you have asked that all you need to do is sign up for a new email account at yahoo, hotmail, or gmail or use one of the free extra ones your ISP will give you to sign up and this time do not unsubscribe.

The problem;as far as I can determine, is that you clicked on the wrong link.
Rather than going back to CNN and modifying your profile you clicked the unsubscribe link in one of the newsletters. This unsubscribe link is a federal requirement in mass mailings such as newsletters to allow those who consider them to be spam to block receipt in the future. By clicking this link you have permanently added your address to the spam filter and permanently added it to their mail server as a blocked address never to have anything sent to.
This is not CNNs fault; this is a Federal requirement under the CAN SPAM act; and they are complying.
When you clicked the unsubscribe link, they are legally required to assume that someone else signed your email address up and that in fact you do not want to ever receive email from them. They are required to remove your name from their email subscription list and to place a block in their outgoing filters to prevent any future accidental mailings to your address. As far as I know there is no method available to get your address reinstated although possibly a certified letter stating that you accidentally clicked the link and providing proof of identity and ownership of the email address would suffice to authorize them to clear it if they actually have anyone who knows how.

Once something is black holed it is very hard to get it reinstated.

The CAN-SPAM Act: Requirements for Commercial Emailers

It requires that your email give recipients an opt-out method. You must provide a return email address or another Internet-based response mechanism that allows a recipient to ask you not to send future email messages to that email address, and you must honor the requests. You may create a "menu" of choices to allow a recipient to opt out of certain types of messages, but you must include the option to end any commercial messages from the sender.
Any opt-out mechanism you offer must be able to process opt-out requests for at least 30 days after you send your commercial email. When you receive an opt-out request, the law gives you 10 business days to stop sending email to the requestor's email address. You cannot help another entity send email to that address, or have another entity send email on your behalf to that address. Finally, it's illegal for you to sell or transfer the email addresses of people who choose not to receive your email, even in the form of a mailing list, unless you transfer the addresses so another entity can comply with the law.
Each violation of the above provisions is subject to fines of up to $11,000.

So do you think that CNN is going to risk being fined $11,000 by sending you anything , even a response to a query about what to do after you clicked the link saying that you never wanted to receive another email from them under penalty of federal law???
Or do you think they will play it safe, and put your address in the permanently blocked filter on all their servers?

also, i'm not going to ask you why you want to give out you email address.
but i like to suggest you to stop asking people to sign up with the CNN,
your message and your threads, will most likely get rejected and locked.

sportman15, you identiﬁed yourself as a disabled person, and that was what i saw your post somewhere before.
i did not pay much attention then, until i saw your post here.

anyways, as much as i like to help out, i just can’t.

however, i think your friends should help you.
you should ask one of your real-life friend, colleague or parent or relative (who does know how to use computer and internet, of course) to help you out with this problem.

i hope you good luck with solving this problem.
