Ideas for future driver support

There are 4 drivers id like to be able to remove with DC...

1. Logitech's webcam driver (quickcam)
2. HP's Lightscribe CD labeler driver
3. Agere winmodem driver (windows updates version of Agere drivers sometimes break CID)
4. Widcomm/Broadcomm BT driver (and or MS's built in driver)

Just some suggestions.. these 4 tend to be nasty drivers to try to remove with their own uninstaller.. (the Lightscribe one has improved with later revisions)

Suggested additional drivers

The *problem* with the Agere driver is its one of those notoriously twitchy drivers..
I.E. It comes in different flavors...

Grrr. the generic Agere driver is no longer on their website... I have a semi-generic driver from an OEM if youd like it...

this is where the driver *used* to be found for it...

Relatively complete driver for current model of lucent chipset
Also known as the SV92PP

Welcome to Zonet

Vendor forum for a product that has had to deal with the *differences* in models of Lucent Winmodems... Might want to see if the author has some information...
Some product ID's of Agere/LSI/HP winmodems allow for voicemail while others do not depending on the product key....

(His product PhoneTray allows for CID to be displayed, and on some modems allows to zap calls (using the voice capability of some models of Lucent Winmodems)

Logitech quickcam driver (and evil application)

Hint most products use the same application/driver from the higher ones... different features enable based on the model...(quickcam 11.5)

Widcomm BT drivers are a can of worms. I can send you *a* driver... but like the Agere, they are keyed to the device id/vendor id...
Though you can install a somewhat generic driver (they call it an update), but it will install the complete driver... at

Hi,

the quickcam filter is comming in the next update. The filter is finished and am now double checking it. The update should come within 2 weeks.

Am also now looking at the widcomm/braodcom BT drivers.

Cool. Actually looking forward to it.. Just didnt see anything and figured id poke and see what was happening.. Good luck with the broadcomm mess.. Talk about evil... I really dislike companies who play licensing games with the drivers... (Iv had to buy 3! BT dongles just to get a semi-recent version of the BT stack! and its STILL not the recent version...(oh I tried their updater... talk about a misnomer.. it basically *checks* to see if your dongle is licenced to upgrade the widcomm stack and of course its NOT)

Quickcam and Logitech removal

Tried removing the quickcam crap AND some old logitech mouse crud with Drivercleaner (Mouseware Quickcam and SetPoint).... Somehow my cruddy AC97 codec got whacked in the process... (Realtek AC97).. Not sure if its just windows acting up or DC accidently took a whack at it...

Just a heads up...

joltdude can you email the log files from driver cleaner to info at drivercleaner dot net. The log files are on the LOG folder in the Driver Cleaner.NET installation folder.
