hi there
long time no see

3540 is now out

changes:
Fixed multichannel playback in Vista
Minor Vista compatibility issues fixed
Fixed AC-3 decoding/passthrough in Vista (via separate SPDIF device)
Improved compatibility with certain TV-Tuners (WinXP)
Removed joystick INF file, since it did not work anyway
Fixed Master volume in sndvol32.exe and minor Mixer API-related fixes (WinXP, Vista)

since our site is no longer working, please go to Official kX Project Site -- News

the project is no longer maintained on a regular basis
no new features will be added in the future
x64 version of the driver to be announced later, no release date

poll: what do you think about Mac OS X driver? (for native apple macintosh and hackintosh?)

Not currently a user but it's nice to see some movement. If I still have my Audigy card whenever an x64 driver comes out I'll try it out for sure.

When I try to download 3540 I'm getting the 404 error too.

i can see that being pretty popular with the OSX86 scene, although for native macs you'd need to code drivers for the PPC architecture, and the hackintosh will be intel based

Seems to work OK (so far), apart from some (minor?) bugs which I posted in the bug thread [COLOR=Gray](anyone installing 3540 should read this)[/COLOR].

Mixer issues from 3539 appear to be fixed for the most part (MM Keyboard keys work again (with my keyboard's software)).

3539 plugins appear to be compatible (yes, this includes ProFx and UFX).

That is probably not a good idea unless Eugene says it's OK (actually it is against kX license agreement). Also, we do not know if Eugene took down the link intentionally for whatever reasons).
