A Question

First of all hi to you all, and thanks for these excellent drivers... really saved me there!!

I'm having a slight problem though, I have 1 SB Live! 5.1 card installed. I use this for two things.

1) for sound through my speedlink medusa 5.1 headset
2) using teamspeak voice chat via the microphone on the headset.

The setup: I have the Headphone jack plugged into the speaker port (Green port?) and the gold jack for the mic plugged into the line in (pink port?)

Both are working fine, whoever i can only do one or the other. I can either hear sound with no ability to send via line in or i can send via line in but get no ouput from the speaker port. They way i have been doing this is by using the Kx sound mixer and switching 'on' the digital output only option to send, then switching it off again to be able to hear. Is there a way to do both at the same time as its rather annoying to have to alt+tab out of an application, switch digital only on to send voice then switch it off again to hear sound again.

Using th latest driver version (3539)

Not sure if i have explained the above clearly but hopefully you will get the point of what im trying to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated folks.

Thanks,

Rob

The pink port is MIC In, which is what you would want for your MIC.

Do not toggle Digital Output only mode on and off (leave it off) to use you MIC, instead do the following:

On the Recording page of kxmixer: Unmute the AC97 recording level slider. All other sliders on the page, except Master Recording level, should be muted.

On the AC97 page of kxmixer: Select "MIC" from the AC97 source selection box. All other sliders on the page, except Analog recording Gain, should be muted.

For more detailed info, see the following:
