Read The Review Here
_________________________

Today we are reviewing the Accelero Xtreme 8800 and it has a tough test ahead of it, can it match or exceed the Thermalright HR-03 Plus?

I always liked their coolers and have been using the Freezer 7 Pro on my CPU and the Accelero S1 on an 8800GT, good review, and great coolers

Where can I get a pair of these in the uk?

edit: nevermind found them at overclockers, £35.24 inc Vat. Gonna have to be nice to the wife for a bit.

edit2: Not for the G92's it appears, luckily or unluckily mine are both G80's. Wonder what the physical difference is?

The only thing I can think off is that the heatsink holes are different on the G92 cards or the power circuitry doesn't suit the mini-heatsinks which are bundled with this cooler. I don't have it to hand to check which. I guess there could be a taller component on the G92 cards also. On a core cooling level there would be no problems with this cooler on the G92 cards.... it can only be the fit.

Thats just sick!!

Just got a Accelero S1 for my 8800GT, so cheap and performs better then HR03 when using a proper cooler, which in my case is a 120mm slapped on with some zip ties :P

Anyway xtreme is a really nice product, if you want to pay a bit extra and get a more "finished" solution then Accelero S1 + your own coolers.

I've been thinking of getting something like this for my 8800GT. The Accelero S1 does look like a better bang for your buck though.

Nice review,

I've been toying with getting one of these all day but in the end resisted. i just son;t know what the effect of not exhausting the hot air will have on the rest of my system.
I've worked hard to ensure my heavily oc'd E6850/chipset are cool enough and dont know if or how much this cooler would upset the balance inside my case ?

Anyone who gets one could you please comment on what this cooler does to internal case temps ?

I saw on the Legionhardware review that they claimed in actually REDUCED internal temps by virtue of never letting the card get too hot !!!! I'm unsure though, the air coming off it will be warmer than ambient and there will be loads of it, whats it gonna do ?

Well In the absence of any response I took the plunge and got one.

It seems that this cooler has indeed lowered the ambient case temps by a degree or so !!!
So the fact it has no exhaust isn't an issue
