It shouldn't as the ICH9 controller driver is built into Vista. It "may" require a driver if the controller driver has changed for that specific board though, but from what I remember it should install just fine. However, would consider installing it with the RAID controller enable anyways as the benefits are worth it.
Either way, the good thing about Vista is that it sees USB pen drives. Just put the RAID drivers on a USB pen, and you should be good to go.
