DwellerInTheDeeps is on a distinguished road

You really should start a separate thread for your specific problems.
I started this thread due to a specific problem with sound, not as a general VAIO thread.

On that note: does the modem driver need to be installed? I've read something that on other laptops the modem driver includes the audio. I just tried reinstalling the RealTek driver, and now I'm getting a pop-up stating that it's looking for/detecting - Modem Device on High Definition Audio.

I'm unclear as to what's going on at this point. As to the quoted post, I got XP working fine. I'm only having problems with the audio.

I tried all by myself. After some time i installed XP on the laptop, but a surprise was that the folder with drivers in C:\Windos\Drivers did not work at all. They were made for Windows Vista somewhat.
Well, I also realized that the DVD/CD was not in the My PC folder.
I really need some guidance, please excuse my english writting, i know it sucks, but please i understand you have installed everything but the sound driver in your laptop. Please i really would be thankfull if you help me.

Thanks for your time reading.
