ATI Mobility Radeon x600
I've encountered this problem awhile ago, but just recently I started using my computer for video games so it's becoming a nuisance again...
I'm trying to run World of Warcraft, except every minute or so my framerate drops to about 1 to 5 fps and everything becomes real choppy. And this consistently happens. Frequently enough to render it impossible to play. Two years ago I was having these same problems, and I sent my computer back to Sony, they said they replaced the motherboard, and when I got it back I didn't experience any problems until a few months later when it came back.
I tried running the Mobility Modder from here, but it doesn't seem to have fixed the problem. I followed all the directions as they were written, but is there any other way I can verify that it did update my driver? And still, is there anything else I can do to try and fix this?
My system specs are:
SONY VAIO laptop (VGN-A690)
Microsoft XP Home Edition
1.86 GHz Intel Pentium M processor
1.00 GB RAM
88.1 GB of hard drive space
ATI Mobility Radeon X600 (right now it says the driver is from 4/5/2005)
Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
