??? Guess What I bought!

Can you guess what I bought? Can anyone? You have 2 days to guess. To those that already know don't tell (but still vote). It definitely will be a surprise to all that know me.

You've become the proud owner of a new Dell gaming machine and you're selling your old rig on ebay.

I voted Wii but I don't see what the fuss is all about if it's either of the gaming systems. Maybe if you snagged $2000 worth of games and hardware along with it...

My guess is 360.

It would be the only logical buy since the PS3 is worthless

Hopefully a 360, as it is the only good console out there I have a Wii... haven't touched it in 4 months. PS3... not going to waste my time

i'm voting a ps3 only because it's a cheap BR player, and it seems that BR is coming out on top now.

Guess what you're right, and this is the whole reason I made this thread because of my known "hatred" of Sony.

They haven't made enough yet so this is impossible.

The reason why I bought a PS3 is I needed a stand alone Blu-Ray player. So why a PS3, especially after everything I've said? Well first here is my list.
  1. Profile 2.0 support
  2. I don't care about 7.1 since my room layout doesn't allow for side speakers.
  3. Cost, I purchased the 40GB version. It's over my $300.00 rule but it's like I spent $300 on a Blu-Ray player, and $99.99 on a console.
  4. Easy updates/content via wifi. If you have a standard player whether it be HD DVD or Blu-Ray you have to either hardwire it or get an adapter. So if you're lucky you can get a decent Blu-Ray player for $399.00 plus the cost of your selected solution. Which would easily put the cost back up around $500.00. Everyone may laugh but this is probably the biggest reason I purchased it.
  5. Heck, to just try some thing new.
  6. I needed a player for my 65" Mitsubishi Projection, which is my "movie" TV. It already has a HD DVD player.
  7. Having to watch my Blu-Ray movies on a 2407WFP w/ a LG HD DVD/Blu-Ray combo drive. Which I purchased for being able to rip the movies if need be, and to have access to both media. I have a nice Klipsch setup but still it's not as comfortable as my main setup.
Note: My 360 (w/ HD DVD add on) is on the 32" Panasonic LCD in my bedroom. Eventually the PS3 will be moved there once it's replaced by a later generation player later this year or early next. So once it's moved it'll be used for gaming if I choose. It's nice having my gaming systems hidden away so any family kids won't beg to play it. This of course will be a problem w/ the PS3 plus it'll be on an older projection which there is rules about burn-in.
