Problem adding 10 Band EQ to DSP
Hi there
I originally downloaded the kX drivers for my SBLive! 5.1 soundcard because I had real problems with the Creative ones but I now find myself being drawn to experimenting with DSP. I would like to add the graphic equalizer plugin (10 Band EQ) to the DSP but when I try to I get the message "No more free GPR registers" - why is this?
The status box on DSP reads "GPRs: 204/256"

i fear your sblive! has no more capacity to load it. gpr - general purpose register. the card has a limit of 256 of such gpr's, which is shown in the titlebar. you have to delete some plugins from the dsp and try again.

OK, thanks I'll give that a try - guess the 10 Band EQ plugin must use a fair few GPRs

Someone said that an option would be to replace the 8-channel mixer with a 2-channel mixer. (Only if you don't need more thant two channels)
Well...is there a 2-channel mixer?

Yea, that's a bugger for me too.
I just wonder... is there any imaginable way to get around this limitation?

Thanks... I'll do just that... knowing that 10k2 has twice the number of gpr's makes it unbearable to continue with 10k1

What do you recommend, when it comes to gprs, Audigy 2 or 4 ?

regarding the DSP - all 10k2 cards are equal, e.g. they have the same amount of DSP resources.
