freezing after a little while
I resently installed windows VISTA ultimate
all was running fine at first, but now the computer runs for a little while when i first
turn it on, but then it freezes with out warning.
I reset the computer and when it trys to load windows, all i get is a black screen.
so i reset the compter AGAIN and then pops up the message "windows failed to start, this
could be caused by a resent hardware or software change"
& from here it will let me load in SAFE MODE, but if i try loading in NORMAL mode it gos
back to a black sreen.
any ideas?
Now i had the computer apart recently, and i did TWO things, first i took the chip out to
try another faster 2200 processor, i tryed two of these, and neither of them worked.
secondly i also removed my network card and replaced it with a USB-2 complient pci card.
What could be the problem? could i have simply lost too much thermal paste off the chip do
u think? causing eventualy over heating
my bios says the chip is running at : 46 deg C and the system temp is about: 35 deg C.
