Summer is coming, gotta lessen that overclock.
Sheesh, summer is coming. Means higher temps in the house. Even if AC is on. Hmm, i'm clicking along at 2200mhz (2300 is slightly unstable) at 1.75v. I have had my window in my room cracked all winter to keep it slightly cooler in here. But now with the window open it's still warm.... I'm running 44C at stress. Can't imagine what it'll look like when it's 85-90F outside. I might have to bring the overclock back a little. BLOWS.
Anyone else got a problem like this? I was thinking about water cooling for the summer, but eh, I dunno.

Still didn't get the board yet, due to be here today. According to UPS online departed UPS at 5:42am.... Still waiting at 12:21 here. OCZ PC3500 is due in tomorrow. Dude, also, my 1.2 reads my temps all messed up. My 1.0 NF7 (non S) read them 38 under full load (exact same setup minus the Volcano 9. but the slk aint 6C better than the V9) The 1.2 NF7-S read me at 43 full stress. And as far as reading core or temp sensor... no one on Abit forums have verified this yet. Also, in Illinois here it has been about 60F the last couple of days.

Dude, I don't sit here for ours on end trying to figure out how to squeeze an extra 50mhz out of my rig. I am not saying that you do either. But seriously, I don't have the ram yet, I just got the loaner mobo from Abit. Oh, and also Shuki, I am not trying to prove to you that I can hit 2600. That is one of the least things in my mind. I have better things to do and could care less about constantly trying to squeeze more speed out of my rig. I work, I have school, friends, and a girlfriend who always wants my attention. These our not excuses for overclocking like you want me to. They are mearly other things that I am concerned about in life. I work today. I'm not one of those kids who will try to throw in the replacement mobo in 1 hour before I have to go to work. I am not like that. I'll save that for tonight. And I know I prolly won't try OCing tonight because there are other things I'd rather be doing. Seriously, I am not trying to prove 2600mhz to ya. I have no intention on doing it. I have a life besides this rig. (no offense, but lay off the OCing mania)

nah really all better now. sorta like the steam valve going off and relieving the pressure so its all good now. just can't stand people repeatedly posting up about stuff that they really have no clue on.....
edit - deleted above posts simply because our "dirty laundry" didn't need to be out there for all to see. I just had a bit to get off my chest that had been sitting there for a long time and do in fact feel much better having relieved the pressure inside....

I think I'll make it...
...<knock-wood>!
I'm counting on the fact that Bubbles is me most extreme overclocked and she's been a friggin ROCK at 1.75Mhz since the day I first cracked it.
Oh, that and we just got a new central air unit when we replaced the furnace last year that's about three times as powerful and I'm re-routing the ducting a bit to make sure the PC room stays chilly.... (I'm really looking forward to having my PC room down in the basement, it's always nice and cool down there! )

Hmmm, so I can't understand things and know about them unless I do them? That's the point you are trying to make? Hmm, so people who can't read, can't understand anything they read unless they understand the stuff theirselves? You're a slick one shuki. I guess I will never understand this overclocking because I have not overclocked as much as you. I will never understand a VDD mod becasue I never did it? Interesting....
