PGR 4... Gorgeous!!!
Any 360 gamers who love car games should get this... Sure it ain't a sim like Forza or an arcade experience like Flatout / Burnout but it's unique and awesome.
Gameplay is great, sound effects are awesome (few games can get some of the engine notes as realistic as PGR --> SLR comes to mind) and on top of that, looks sublime!

looks too animated, and I have never liked PGR's choice of insanely narrow tracks. GT5 @ 1080p for me.

PGR4 is absolutely brilliant, especially nurburgring over the lan. identical to the real track in germany. still determined to crack 7 minutes.

I have driven on the actual track, its as close to the real thing as possible. Personally I hardly ever play the arcade or career modes. I just do timed races on nurburgring. It is absolutely brilliant. My real life personal best on a Yahama R6 (last year) is just under 9 minutes, which I was very proud of !
I got 7.06 with a Toyota GT Class A car last week. I think I could crack 7 minutes with it.
Worth it just for this alone IMO (but im a nurburgring fanatic, if a game has it, I get it !)
EDIT: Meant to say nurburgring in Forza is good too, but I like the "in the car" or on the seat views (on the bike), so it was minus points for that game.
When I get back from CES I plan on cracking some times with the bikes in GTR4 as well.

that does look really nice. i've not got a new console yet, but i want one mainly for racing and sports games. It's more fun just laying on the bed switching the console on and playing some games for a couple hours than sitting at the PC. Playing racing games on the PC has just never felt as fun as when i used to play GT4 on the PS2
i guess there are too many distractions when on a PC like the internet and whatever else

Its featured in game... PGR uploads your pictures to its website in 1280x720 and you just have to DL them to your PC

if sports games are your thing, id recommend the 360.
the reason being is that EA have stated they are making all their sports games (not sure on non sports) on the 360 and porting them over to ps3.

racing, sports and adventure games are always more fun on the console. In addition, you would find a lot more people online on a console EA Sports game than a PC port. I can't wait to play GT5 on my ps3 though, pgr has always been good in the graphics department but it has a bland feeling of it needing to do more.

I dunno the demo of GT5 was quite boring (and it was in japanese)...
It's a different kind of game anyways! PGR is all about "kudos" (powersliding, handbrake drifting, etc.) while GT5 is all about "reality" (which isn't that true because there are many other games far more realistic than the GT franchise (GTR comes to mind)).
I used to love Gran Turismo but ever I started driving I'm a bit bored of it... Kudos ftw!!!

I love NFS on the 360... Most Wanted is the best one ever (after Porsche Unleashed).
Timeshift seemed interesting, I almost bought it... What you think of it? If its good, I want too
As for PGR, get is eventually man, it's bloody awesome

why do people love most wanted so much? I think it was the most minimal step forward in the series. They severely cut down customization, car list was more diverse in carbon, illegal street racing in day light and the sound track was terrible! NFSU2 hit the pinaccle with customization IMO, nfsu1 had the soundtrack and carbon gave you the tension in the canyon races.
but thats not for this thread, i should create a thread asking why people like it so much lol

I Guess because most people don't actualy care about customization. The silent majority and all.

in GT5 (for thoes that have played a demo) do you still bounce off the "sides" of the track like a dogem car? have they put in car damage?
