2 8600 GTs
I need your opinion. Would a 500W power supply provide enough juice to run 2 8600 GTs in SLI mode? I have an AMD x2 5400+ processor and 2 gig of memory if that would make a difference. Thanks for your help.

yes it will, but i highly suggest not even wasting time with SLI and buy a single powerful 8800GT 256mb card

Thanks for the reply. I figured getting a better single card would be the way to go but I was trying to get some life out of the 8600 GT I have.

not a good choice to go with dual 8600GTs horrible price to performance ratio
an 8800GT offers GTX-like performance at a low low price, minus the RAM |

yes, i would agree. go w/a 8800GT 256MB or 512MB if you can afford that. sell that current 8600GT you have now and use that towards the purchase of an 8800GT series card.
if you have an EVGA card, and you're still within the 90 days of original purchase, you can apply for the step up program they have available. |
