How would you rate 2007 hardware-wise?
Good or bad? Why?

I thought it was a good year. I just wish AMD/ATi went out with a bang. If not its back to INTEL and nVidia.

Good year. Wish I'd had the money to do some major upgrades. Here's to hoping the coming year is even better.

Love the prices!
Upgraded this year to a mid-range system for the lowest amount I've spent in a long time! Amazing year, for value at the very least.

Let's see...Quad Cores, iPhone & Ipod Touch, 8800GTS/GT and some sweet ass cheap LCD monitors. This was the best year for hardware that I can remember mostly because the prices weren't so high.

The whole gamut - CPUs, mainboards, memory, video cards, displays, drives, even power supplies (!) it has been about the best year ever - even better than the year that saw the intro of the PIII/Celeron (A), and then the Athlon, I think...

With the hardware-prices we seen lately, eg. on ram, it's been crazy and with the introduction of cards like 8800gt and 3850hd, plus the low prices on Core2Duo and AMD's topmodels, you can get a excellent pc today for very little money
Excellent year !

Well, DX 10 Hardware has a lot of power... but DX 10 games look... almost like DX 9 ones... For me this year was just good (new Quad cores!!!).

Call me harsh, but this year was pretty ordinary. What truly revolutionary hardware did we see, apart from Intel's quad core?
Nothing that would really be considered as evolutionary or revolutionary in the PC world... Another batch of new generation graphics cards that barely make use of DX10, even the quad core doesnt really become useful in any major software, memory and hard drive prices plummeted, but can anyone challenge me as to what really stood out?
