World of Warcraft and video card help

So, this is my first time posting here and I'm not sure if this topic fits in here, so feel free to move it. Any way, my problem is WoW and its horrible framerate. I'm honestly lost when it comes to video cards and driver and whatnot, so I'm hoping someone here can help me fix the problem. My framerate -never- gets above 22FPS no matter what I do. And my uncle, who's my computer savvy told me its probably a video driver problem. I've posted on the WOW forums and got nothing more than "A lot of people have that problem. Sucks to be you" So thats why I'm here. If anyone could please help me solve the problem or at least improve my framerate, you have my unending thanks. Welcome to DH!

First off, it would be helpful for you to post what setting you are using in-game, as well as your resolution. The GPU in your rig isn't terribly powerful, so high resolutions might be a problem for you. You can always try to mess around with the in-game settings and see what you get.

If you haven't done so, check out the Dell website and get the most up-to-date drivers for your notebook.

I have dowloaded the latest one from dell, and that didn't improve the framerate. And as we speak i'm tweaking in-game settings... Which is making me feel kind of dumb right now. Because I didn't tweak them too much before. And I've found this, lowering the resolution to the next highest widescreen (from 1680X1050 to 1280X800) about doubles my framerate (Bringing it up to about 40FPS), but at the cost of everything being fuzzy. This is somewhat dissapointing. All my other WoW settings are at the highest. (if you need more detail, let me know. I know that was vague) So now I'm wondering if its possible to keep the graphic detail high, as well as the framerate. If not, I'll just have to pick between framerate and graphic level I guess

Yeah, it seems your card just can't handle the high resolution and high settings. Its blurry because it's an LCD screen run at a non-native resolution. You might just have to mess with the settings and find the best mix for you (30fps is pretty good, IMO). Honestly, I played WoW on my five year old laptop and it still looked pretty good with some tweaking.
