Aero vs Basic

Hi,

i switched to basic yesterday... and I dont know if its just me but things do seem to be snappier. Very noticable when opening tabs in IE or opening explorer windows.

Is it just me... can some other please try it out.

so many factors.

but yes.... theres are going to be a little snappier in many cases...

it's like any other game, you disable the visual effects down to the lowest graphics settings, your bound to see a performance boost...

Even areo feels much snappier if all the pretty animation is disabled, it isn't a matter of lagging hardware, the animations just take time to complete.

try using Aero but disable these below in Performance Options.

- Animated windows when minimizing and maximizing
- Fade or slide menus into view
- Fade or slide ToolTips into view
- Fade out menu items after clicking
- Show shadows under menus
- Slide open combo boxes
- Slide taskbar buttons
