CT4760 DSP Setting

Hi,

I have a Soundblaster Live! Player 1024 (CT4760) card and i'm looking for a "perfect" DSP present.

I searched this forum and my.kxproject.lugosoft.com, but most of the presents are for 5.1 cards or the mic doesn't work or...nothing seem to be especially for this old-timer.

Hopefully an expert here has one / knows where to get it.

Just simple and puristic for music and gaming.

Thx

Christmas presents! You mean preset, or setup. The default DSP setup installed with the driver works OK.

@ octave

I'm sorry, my mistake, I'm from Austria
(no kangaroos on the horizon), native german speaker.

The default DSP setup is OK (my mic doesn't work...), i know.
But maybe there is one, which fits better, more puristic less overload (4 speaker, mic that's all)

Hey, do not apologize !!! It was such a funny mistake. It made me happy. No irony.

As far as I can remember there is some tedious clicking involved in enabling the input with the default setup. This is discussed in a recent thread, which includes a link to a very detailed guide:
My Mic Doesn't Work!

However, you are right that it's simpler to just connect the ProFX:ADC plug-in to the Rec inputs in the epilog. You might indeed throw away everything else for now. (There is an option to restore default setup.) (This is also suggested by Russ in the above thread.)

So you say kangaroos hide themselves during winter in Austria?

Offering a "perfect" preset is very difficult as such a thing is very subjective, and many custom presets/configs are designed with the idea that certain things are not needed in that config (most kX users have multiple configs that they create for specific purposes that are saved/loaded as needed).

We have no way of knowing what you need (and as a new user, you may not even know for sure what you need), so it is difficult to offer such things knowing that in a few days from now you may be back saying, "MIDI doesn't work". or "I am missing sounds in games", or "'X' volume slider does not work", etc with that config.

It is always best to try and learn how the DSP works, so that you can customize it yourself according to your needs. Read the help/faq/guides/forum and start creating your own custom configs so that you may better understand the DSP.

That may sound simple enough, but it is really a very generic request. You really need to be very detailed and specific when asking for custom DSP configs (and again, this can be difficult for new users until they have a better understanding of how kX works).
