Network help.
So I am not as good with network stuff as I am other hardware Go figure eh?
Anyways the maximus has shit for layout of PCI and PCIE 1x slots, and my card is a monster and eats up all the good slots. But to the actual question, my old card is a 1000mbps PCIE 1x NIC, now the onboard Marvell Yukon is only up to 100mbps, will I see a difference in my connection between these? I havent a clue, and networking standards are confusing at times lol

Is the switch that your computer connected to 1000 mpbs (gigabit) capable? If so, you'd see a difference.
However, checking the specs, both LAN ports on that board are advertised as gigabit capable, you should be able to get 1000 mpbs from the Marvell port if your switch supports it.

Ok that has been resolved, my neglecting reading about the NIC led me to believe auto negotiate maxed at 100mbps, however it doesnt it goes to 1000mbps and is indicated by a green light on the card. Which is exactly what I have
New problem though....
What in the hell is wrong with my connection?
Thats a load of crap, I get 10k down, 1kish up.
hmmm any ideas?
EDIT: It would seem there is something wrong with the NY server? I am getting 10k everywhere else.....

Yup, the NY server has been slow for the past couple weeks.
Scared me too the first time I ran it and got results like that.
