Nomad Zen / Archos 20GB ?

Howdy,

So i'm looking to buy a hard-drive based mp3 player, right? And the iPod is just way too expensive. From what i've seen so far, the Achos Studio 20GB and the (Creative) Nomad Zen (also 20GB) look pretty good, the price difference is only about 20-40$ and i'm having a hard time figuring out which one is better. (The Zen has *better* audio and so am leaning towards it)

So-- here is the problem:

Every review i have read explicitly states that the Nomad Zen does not show up as a hard drive on your pc. You have to install either the Creative or the Notmad software to access the drive. This is not cool. Does anyone know how the Zen acts when you hook it up to your computer? -- I mean it would be ok if i just had to install some drivers, but running background software just sucks.

It's really important that the drive functions as a hard drive, for storing anime and stuff in addition to songs, so i would appreciate your help/input on this.

Thanks in advance,
Oblivious
