Is it safe to delete the stuff on C drive??

Hey guys, girls, pre op and post op transexuals! Was hoping someone could help me... I installed vista and it all installed on my D drive, redownloaded (that a word?) my old programs and they are also all installed onto D drive but I still have stuff on the C drive, old xp stuff I guess! was wondering if it's ok to delete it without it affecting my computer??? don't think it will but im not sure, if i delete the data then i will save around 6gb and my C drive will be completely clear! hope i've put this in the right place.

cheers!

as long as no programs are installed on the C that you use in vista, you'll be fine

just backup any important documents/music etc on the C drive before you do
