ATI overclocking in Vista 64 help
Hello.
right about yesterday i decided, il finnaly go to vista(since one of my hard drives was having problems, so i installed vista on the other) and ofcourse installed the 64 bit version. Anyway i used to use omega drivers and now that i have upgraded it seems that who ever does the omega drivers, dont have vista or let alone any 64 bit version, and i used that to overclock my graphics card.
So im asking for a new program to overclock or maybe any info on when or if omega drivers will be available for vista 64.
thanks.

You can overclock an ATI card in Vista through the ATI catalyst control panel or alternativel to the ATI control panel use ATITool or ATI traytools.

If neither work for you (I know the functionality is limited in both under Vista X64 - they do support vista BTW) try the ATI Catalyst Control Centre overdrive, used it a few times and it works OK.
What card is it? There's an R600 Gpu Clock tool here

its a x700(thus CCC doesn't have a overclock mode, and why i did it manually) trying to get as much as i can out of it till prob around christmas or maybe black friday (if there is a decent deal) to get a good DX 10 card.
anyway il try this other thing out. hm still says it cant find anything, i have a feeling it must be something else, but im unsure what, keeps saying no valid device found.

Hey what specs your rig has, no need to get DX10 card if your CPU can't keep up with it.

It will be fine, dont worry, thats not the issue, the issue now is this thing not finding my card for w/e reason. i have a feeling its going to be something very stupid that i overlooked.

What is your rig?
And OmegaDrivers dont "Overclock" your videocard, the program by Ray Adams called ATI Tray Tools is what let you overclock your card, this is supported here ATI Tray Tools Generic Discussion - Guru3D.com Forums there are several other programs to overclock videocards ATI Tool, RivaTuner, AMD GPU Tool (R600) etc etc.
