Interesting... reading the release notes (pg 13) there's a bug (258862) still open for Haze - which is supposedly now only a PS3 exclusive.

Ah, well I see in the release notes this driver fixes the memory handling problems in the 8800GTS 320's. Will try them out tonight.

Did Nvidia ever optimize their drivers for Quake Wars? The demo doesn't run much better than the betas.

Well I tried them. Bioshock saw some nice gains in performance, so I'll stick with them.

Hmm looking forward to the Bioshock gains. I noticed it has a new AA profile in Nhancer perhaps that's one reason for the boost.

The first batch of keys were leaked, not again....
The first batch came and went so fast that even I didn't get one and I am normally at the front of the line.
If you search you will find many people posting screenies around the net.
I am not going to link to the fileplanet page because I want one but I am sure the resourceful people will find it.
I changed my mind. Here is a link to the keyed client download page seeing how it is not working anymore. Most likely once the QW hype dies down they will hand out the keys.

Hardly seems worth the fuss to get in the beta when the demo is 2 weeks away.

Well...If you just want to play and not help pinpoint bugs then ya, waiting for the demo is probably best. Lately I have been noticing that the beta's give a better determination of the final product than the actual demo. It is like all these demo's coming out lately are tweaked and optimized as a whole separate game and then you get the final product and it just doesn't feel the same. That sentence rhymes.
The way they are doing this beta makes no sense. How many beta's come out just a couple weeks before a demo? It might be an indication that there are issues with the game.

Well, everyone be careful with the scaling settings. They are still completely screwed up.
At least this and the last driver 163.44 display my screen without like an inch of overscan.
Edit: Oh yeah, Video Overlay Mixer still broken.

Noticed that the bug regarding card clocks being locked at 2D levels after ALT-Tab'ing out of some games has been fixed. Personally I've only encountered this with Flatout 2, but others have reported this problem with different games.
