Overclocking 7900GT in Vista

Hey

Anybody know if there's anyway to overclock an XFX nVidia 7900gt in Vista? I know have had XP a half a year or something, and i'm beginning to miss the nice look of Vista + many of it's child diseases has been fixed. (Read: many, not all)

As always I have downloaded the newest driver to Vista from the nVidia-driver-download site, but before I install Vista i want to make sure I can overclock my GPU with programs like RivaTuner, CoolBits, nTune etc..

Anybody know if this is possible?

Thanks

ntune works well for GPU overclocking, stick to the motherboard's BIOS for CPU, memory and chipset settings though.

You are sure that nTune works with Vista? When i tried around this winter it did not work. I downloaded Rivatuner 2.02 which is supporting Vista, but I don't know if that means that I can overclock my GPU.

I have overclocked my CPU, memory and chipset in the BIOS, so that is not an issue.

Quite sure. If you hit the "Adjust custom rules", you can configure ntune to load clock speeds for your gpu automatically on Windows boot.

I have now installed Vista and RivaTuner and the overclocking works perfect.

Even better, there is no limit till how much you can overclock like it was in the XP edition, where you get the error when you overclock too much. Heh

But thanks for the help
