Alright.. gonna commit a great sin by posting into an old thread, but I just had to after finding this great piece of software called
SyncBackupSE, by 2BrightSparks. I got so fed up with SecondCopy taking FOREVER to do simple incremental backups. It literally copy/pasted files that never changed, and took forever to do so. It was no better than manually copy/pasting files yourself with the exception that it did it without asking you.
This is where SyncBackupSE comes in. SyncBackupSE first scans the source directory, then the destination directory, quickly mind you, and if any files are different (ie. new ones, changed, deleted, missing) it will then sync the folders however you have it setup... and I do mean however you have it. There's so many ways to setup the syncing it's insane. Another thing I like about it is that I can setup a reoccurring backup schedule, say something like every 2 hours to whatever I want.
In any case, just read the homepage for the program to see what I mean. This software is amazing.
Move over SecondCopy, SyncBackupSE just kicked your ass to the curb.
