Switching iTunes & iPod from Mac to Windows...???

I have a problem.I sold my MacBook and I wanna put my music I have downloaded on my Windows computer BUT the iPods have to reconfigured to Windows.I didnt know this. When the iPods are reconfigured it wipes out the hard drive on the iPod....any solutions out there? And the MacBook has not shipped out yet.I can still use it.

Sorry the only way you are going to get it to work is by transferring the songs directly from the apple computer via an external hard drive, etc. You will not be able to transfer them from the ipod directly.

If you do not have the external HDD, then copy the entire ~/music/itunes folder on your mac to your PC.

You cannot re-download music from the itunes store.

I don't believe it will work if the ipod is formatted for mac already, since PCs cannot read the HFS file system used.
