We should really have a review forum.
Review forum: Above all, news and stuff. All reviews should be posted there. All discussion about reviews should happen there. Why? Because I wouldn't have to make new topic here every time i want to suggest you, guys, something.
Recently I found a review of AMD's X2900XT beating the hell out of 8800GTS 640mb version. Now, I kinda didn't trust that review because I had never seen that site before. I've also heard and I know that hardware on AMD's new baby is superb cool and it should kick nVidia's ass anytime, if it weren't for the drivers. So, now there has been some improvement with drivers and I would be really F-ing happy if you'd make another review comparing 2900XT's driver builds to one another and ultimately comparing the results with nVidia's flagship. Also, it would be a cherry on the pie if you'd use both, Windows XP and Windows Vista to get the difference. I know it's a hard work and you'd need to get hardware first...somewhere. But damn, do it for me. It's just hard being a fanboi.

ok firstly, take a deep breath. What exactly do you need a reviews forum for ? we have a reviews index over here http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/ which shows you everything we have done since the site started.
That said, if you want the reviews we publish to be in a seperate forum so you can find discussion easier, I agree with this, and in fact driver heaven will be undergoing a face lift at some stage this year and this will be one of the changes. It is however one hell of an undertaking and we are altering the back end of the site as well as incorporating new (faster) servers.
Bear with us a while

Facelifts kick ass
But my point was more like requesting a new x2900XT review. I dont know if you can make reviews on request but I'd still want confirmation about x2900 beating 8800 GTS.

I'd be happy with being able to highlight and copy text on DH.
Ok, now you can chew me a new one for daring to say that in a totally unrelated thread. You did mention a site update later in the year though, so it does pertain to that.

Erm no, a site update won't involve being able to copy and paste text as you can already do that. I have just checked in IE7, opera and firefox (all latest updates) and text can be copied and pasted from vbulletin. are you using IE6 cause there is a problem with the way IE6 implements div's.
Can you elaborate? hey you can even get out the red markers if you want

Any particular reason you've stayed with IE6?

IE6, thats funny. using IE6 right now is about as safe as sticking your genitals in a blender and hoping the electricity has been cut.

Yeah it is IE6.. that is the problem. I kinda knew it was the problem from past threads when people were talking about not being able to copy/paste. There were red markers involved.
I have a few thousand favorites all organized in a particular hierarchy with custom icons for many (lots and lots) of folders in the hierarchy. They are not alphabetized so I am sure installing IE7 will mess it all up. I haven't really taken the time to research how many other things are totally messed up in IE7- so I have not upgraded. IE6 is fine for me, actually the only problem I have w/ IE6 is that I cannot copy/paste on DH.

I have never had any problems with it. I don't use default security settings. I read somewhere IE7 isn't much better anyway.

No offense man, but I don't think you can really expect the guys on DH to sit and hack v bulletin to work perfectly on an outdated Microsoft browser which everyone knows sucks anyway. The way you posted made it look like the whole site should be updated due to some huge copy n paste issue which DH should fix. Looks like microsoft already fixed it for you. as for the favorites, its not a huge issue, I had to do it myself. took about 15 minutes. you can even copy and paste favorites across, or drag them into the favorites section, directly. easy as pie.

Well you can talk about how bad IE6 all you want. No other vBulletin forums I check have this issue. I am sure eventually I will "upgrade" to IE7, but other than this I have had no reason to.

and I doubt many other forums use as many interface hacks for their members either. some people always complain when a solution is at hand, its the way of the net. The way I look at it is, if you want to use IE6 then you should just deal with this "minor" problem.

Dude, WTF is you problem? I don't recall asking you anything- So how about you butt out? It was half a joke anyway, and I knew they were already aware of the issue- I was just wondering if it was going to change anytime in the future with the forum upgrades..
Here is a question for THE MANAGEMENT, not members.
Is there a way to know the browser stats for all DH visitors? Example how many use IE6, IE7, Firefox, etc? Just wondering what that is.. if no one is using IE6 at all, then I'll just upgrade sooner than later. If a large % are still using IE6, then it is not just me this is effecting.

back to the original post at hand: I think Brutality wanted a forum where all reviews go. Not necessarily DriverHeaven reviews, but reviews from other sites. Maybe I got that wrong though, but thats the feeling I got from the post.
Is the OP still here to comment?

Yea, that was my idea. All reviews in 1 place, all discussion in 1 place. At the moment, everything is messed up and well, search function doesnt help me a lot either.
The offtopic in my first post...discard that.
