Help with Capture !!

I have a Radeon X 1800 GTO 256mb PCI-E graphics card with VIVO which i understand can be used for video capture. Im basically trying to connect my xbox 360 using s video to my card so i can record myself playing. I have connected it fine but when i try virtual dub and other capture software it says no device found. This is very fustrating, can anyone help me. I have the new catalyst drivers and software installed and i am using Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. Thanks for any help.

This is just a shot in the dark because I have never tried what you are doing personally.
Isn't the signal coming from the xbox 360 in high resolution?
Is that card capable of capturing high resolution video?

Do you have the svideo plugged in to the correct dongle.
If you are plugging in directly to the card then you are trying to have video input through an output connector.

I have an s video splitter connected to my tv(http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-S-Video-To...QQcmdZViewItem). Then i have my xbox 360 s video cable going into one end and an ordinary s video cable coming from the other. Then i connect the end of that s video cable to the s video cable connecter thing i got from my graphics card box.

And still when i go into any capture software it says that device is not found ??

I would try to directly hook the xbox up to vivo and see if you get a signal. Then when you get the kinks worked out with configuring how you are going to save you can mess with splitters. The first step is actually getting a signal to your PC.

VirtualDUB MOD won't find the capture card, it doesn't know how to work VIVO cards or AiW's.

Vista has its own PVR software installed, at least I know the Ultimate does. It comes with Media Center, no? You could use that.
