Lock ups and slow downs
I'm experiencing frequent 10 to 15 second lock-ups after stopping playback in both Cakewalk Pro 5 and Guitar Pro 5 using ASIO (3538m Jan 2007) under WinXPSP2. Everything, even the CPU usage meter in Task Manager, stops responding (although the mouse pointer still moves, albeit slowly and jerkily) until it sorts itself out.
Any ideas?
Thanks
Tom

Have you tried different settings - such as?:
Default
User / Sleep
User / Thread
User / Timer
Etc...

Thanks for the reply
I've tried a few alternative settings with no noticeable improvement.
I should have mentioned that I'm using a Live 5.1 Platinum on an Athlon XP 2000+ with 1 gig of memory.

I have noticed some VST(i) will cause me problems in Sonar. (Sonar wont close and forces me to reboot, and at times 'force' shutdown - becuase stuck at 'Windows is saving your settings' ....

i've got exactly the same issue. i am forced to use previous version of KX drivers. ASIO never worked for me in M release.

@imperia
Thanks.
Now the question is: do I downgrade the driver or use this as an excuse to upgrade the soundcard:-)
