tvtuner-card + line-in + 5.1 output ?

I have e tv-tuner card and the sound is connected to my Line-in output.
I Was wondering if there is possible in some way to upmix the sound-in signal to 5.1 ?

It would be helpful if anyone knew if it works in some way if its possible.

It depends on your sound card, and it's drivers, I think. What sound card do you have?

I'm not familiar with that card, but did you look throughout the control panel for a setting like that?
Does the card already "mirror" audio for other sources, such as mp3's from your hard drive, or playing a CD in the CD-ROM?

Thsi card is no more different than the other 5.1 cards i think. I have searched through the settings in the control panel. For the moment i have a 5.1 output with all the other devices. but from the line-in i only get a stereo-sound output on 2 speakers. I think thats the only problem i got. I can find EAX-settings and advanced sound settings in the surround-controlpanel that comes with Creatives drivers. But there is nothing that has to do with upmixing the sound from the line-in. :/

Sorry, I think you're out of luck . . . they probably didn't think people would want to upmix the line-in for output
