My father has the same diesease that plagues MJ, the skin looses it's pigment, It also effects the eyes in a way that sunlight or bright lights will completely disorient him or even give him an instant headache.

And the skin pigment loss is not going to just show up in specific spots, it's ALL over... ATM, he looks like marble cheese, in another 5-10 years, he should be completely solid unnaturally bright white. (additionally, any portion of the skin that has lost the pigment, is quickly burnt if exposed to sunlight)
