Flash Player won't install
I've been trying to install the latest adobe flash player on my grandpa's pc, but even though i've set all the security settings to what they say, and made sure i was on the administrator account, the install finish movie never appears and I don't even get the gold security bar. He has Internet explorer 6 and is running it in Windows Media Center Edition. Any help is appreciated, thx.

see if it installs on firefox. If it does, it could be an IE6 problem. uninstall flash all of the way, verify you have all the ie6 updates... restart and try reinstalling. I have seen flash go really buggy on ie6... Uhhh if that doesn't work uninstall flash again. Go to Start -> Run -> sfc /scannow (have the OS CD in hand). This will repair ie6 if there are any problems... reboot, install flash and let us know if any of this helped.

I was dealing with the same problem (IE6SP2) - the Flash player installation finished succesfuly, but it didn't work (I tried that several times with using the Flash uninstaller and cleaning the registry). I was looking for a solution for some time, but I gave up. So if the offline installation from that site doesn't work the only solution I have found is reinstalling Windows. But try what GutterPunk suggested first.

I just tried to download and re-install with both IE7 & FF. Both were successfully installed no problems. Sorry, that don't help you and I don't what else to suggest other than to re-install/repair IE6 or upgrade to IE7 may solve the problem
