3 x 320 GB drives

Probably don't need so much, as I've been buying DVDs of shows/movies recently that I would have otherwise kept on the drives.

I'm tempted to pick up another drive, and set them up in RAID 1 so I can slack a bit in my backups.

Comp_guy0 is on a distinguished road

Have 4 X 250GB drives in RAID 5 (750GB) and 2 X 80GB drives in RAID 0 (160GB)

Using 211GB on the RAID 5 for file storage and 80GB on the RAID 0 for daily crap.

This is just my main desktop. I also have two external 160GB drives, a laptop with 100GB, and a server with 2 200GB drives in RAID 1. Oh and my firewall computer I think has a 20GB in it (and uses like 1MB).

Just got me a second 500GB Samsung and there are now five Samsung drives in this machine, though the oldest "fifth wheel" 160GB drive is being laid off for another system. I'm a bit of a silence freak when it comes to harddrives and the 500GB's are really impressive as they also perform very well.

The only drive I'm not happy with is one of two 250GB's which for some reason vibrates a lot more than the others, so that it's noticeable in spite of some fairly effective rubber block mountings(Nexus DiskTwin). It could warrant a suspension solution, but it's not being used for much else than backups so it's oftenly spun down.

Oh, and a little external 250GB, also Samsung, that almost doesn't count.

Not at 5 yet.

I just put in another 500GB drive into my D-Link DNS-323 NAS storage box bringing that up to 1 terrabyte, I have 2x300GB SATA drives in my main machine, 2x75GB SATA drives in RAID 0 in my gaming rig, 1 external drive with a 160GB SATA drive, and another with a 200GB drive.

Grand total = almost 2 terrabyte.

36 Gig Raptor and a WD 320 Gig, at the moment it is just enough. I'm interested in getting a larger Raptor in the near future though. Long term plans - looking forward to solid state storageskies.
