Pissed assignments of DSP controls to windows mixer? (kxctrl)

i searched quite long today on these forums and google and i can't find any ( and i mean ANY answers ) on the usage related to this. there's couple threads here asking the same question...

so how the hell do we use it?
i have profx src (fxbus 4/5) going to st vol named "Main" which goes to k2lt

the usage of the command is
kxctrl.exe -ma <id> <pgm_name> <reg_name>
where "id" is the slider

and there aren't any further explanations
so my questions would be:

1. do i need to use quotes around the names?
2. when i do "kxctrl.exe -ma 0" it shows 2 regs assigned to the same control. how do i assign 2 regs?

i tried to input things in several ways ..(
kxctrl.exe -ma 0 Main vol
kxctrl.exe -ma 0 'Main' 'vol'
kxctrl.exe -ma 0 "Main" "vol"
).. and all i get is the help screen of kxctrl.exe

why isn't this documented at all?

ok. well the kxctrl help is outdated then

the command would be
kxctrl.exe -ma <id> <pgm_name> <reg_names> <max value>

i don't know if you can assign more than 2 regs though.
anyway.. i just found out that it won't work for me anyway.. cause devices wave 4/5 and up don't route to windows mixer.. atleast the way i understand it.

good to know though for future use..
thanks maddogg6

The plugin name and register names are case sensitive, so make sure that you type them in correctly.

The format is:
ma <slider ID> <plugin name> <register name left> <register name right> <max volume>
