List of Effects for kX Project

Hello,

I was just wondering if anyone knows of a list of all the effects people have made for the kX project.

Is reading through this entire forum the best way to find what's out there?

Thank you much,

That would be useful, but I'm not aware of one.

Such a list has been discussed in the past, but was never done because such a list could be difficult to maintain.

i.e.
Many of the available plugins eventually end up included with the driver.

Of those that do not get included, often the download link for the plugin is only temporary. This means that any person trying to maintain such a list has to constantly check the forum for new plugins, and download the plugins themself, and then host them somewhere. Then there is the problem of different versions of the plugin. The person trying to maintain the list must track the different versions, and document what version of kX each plugin will work with, and which version is the latest, etc. It could be a lot of work...

Another option is a page where anyone can submit links and add the necessary info (and update it as necessary), but someone still has to maintain the list (check for bad links and dead links, etc, and update the web page). Such lists often start out good, but typically end up with a bunch of dead links (people seem to eventually lose interest in maintaining such lists).

Another thing to consider, is that often the only documentation for a plugin is in a thread in the forum (usually the thread where the link to download the plugin is).
