I've never seen a structure quite like that before. Did a quick google and couldn't find any history on your photo. Can you give us some background info pls?

I believe it is part and parcel of the local sheep herders here, dogs drive sheep between two posts in a sort of competition. I happend upon this recently and took the pic because it intrigued me. My partner took photos and jumped the fence and found only little smooth stones near the two posts so we surmised it is just for training sheep dogs.

But what's with the shape? Why would they bother to turn the wood like that just to train dogs? Nice photo never-the-less

I guessed that will the great amount of logs and timber nearby these two pieces were the most interesting I suppose.
