On my system the raw gaming performance has been better than the latest official. The control panel has a somewhat different layout but seemingly no functional difference. For instance flat panel scaling is there but does not work. There are also some problems with full screen video playback, like higher CPU usage and stuttering in MediaCenter.
For what I've read SLI is not supported. Stalker is said to run much better on some cards.

I've downloaded and installed them, although I have no games to discuss on the Vista machine. What I can tell you is Dreamscene is working correctly, no errors in the entire day I've been running them. Also there's no flashing text in Hold Em. My 3dMark 2006 score went up about 160. The control panel appears different as well. I'll have to put a game on and see how they work compared to XP. I'll give Oblivion a shot.

Have them installed here, no problems yet. I've been playing Oblivion with the Shivering Isles expansion for hours and am not having any driver-related problems so far.

The one thing that is keeping me from trying them is the Oblivion white box issue. Golbeze what are your general settings for Oblivion?

Using a 7600GT, res @ 1024x768, HDR, anti-aliasing off (of course, since I can't have it on at the same time as HDR with this card), grass turned all the way down (I prefer the performance increase over grass outside), shadows off, blood decals on low, view distance maxed, rest of the sliders set around the medium point, and vsync's finally been fixed with this release so I have that enabled.

Hmm..there always seems to be a driver under "Windows Update" that is also 101.70 but is WHQL certified. I think I'm going to wait this release out a few more days.

Hmm I think i'll try these a little later and post up my findings. Funnily I only ran 3dmark 06 yesterday so I have a reference figure to work on for comparison. Scored just shy of 11,000 with the latest betas on Nvidia's site which is still somewhat down on XP, lets hope the gaps been narrowed a bit.

I noticed this as well when found this post:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=220476
I did install these windows update drivers, besides that they are whql'ed, I haven't noticed a difference from the ones that were leaked on the Guru3d Fourms.

I have tried this driver release with Oblivion, and I haven't noticed any white box issue. Is it anything to do with the occasional flickering of a hidden window boarder? Because that is the only abormal thing happening to me. Also I noticed in another thread that these drivers allow for HDR + AA.

How I knew about it was it showed up for my system a few day ago under "Windows Update", the really odd thing is it's gone? I never did install it the new drivers since I normally only do straight from the vendor/manufacture. BTW, did you control panel change like w/ the drivers offered @ Guru3D?
Update: Direct link to use the WHQL certified 101.70 - http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.ph...8&postcount=45

Weird, I had to do my first ever system restore last night after installing these drivers. It's probably something i've done so i'll have another try tonight but it's the first time i've ever had a driver install go bad. My system slowed down to snails a pace and eventually froze up when I tried to install them, the one time I did manage to get them on it all went pear-shaped when I enabled SLi. Anyone got any tips with regards to SLi, should I disable it before installing drivers and treat them as two cards or would that not make a difference?
The one time I did get them on I noticed the control panel is totally different, it's more akin to the old text based panel as opposed to the newer graphical interface.
Edit: oh yeah when I tried to run 3dmark06 last night all i'd get is a black screen ending after a few minutes with a lock up.

Cheers Necrosis, installed the drivers following that link and all's fixed. Interestingly some DX10 demo links are provided in that thread, I think im gonna go have a play.
Edit: Damn noob I can't believe I doubleposted, someone clean this up for me and save me the shame.
Second edit: Damn it, had to rollback to the previous set again, im getting scaling issues but far more serious is what happens when I try to run 3dmark 05 or 06, instant black screen and I have to reset, it's annoying to say the least. I'll look more indepth when I have the time but for now I just want to carry on playing fable.

Actually, I was the one who repackaged them to be easy to install. I thank Necrosis though for putting the link up. If you read on toward the end of the thread, there is some mentioning of issues with DX10 not working with these drivers. I myself could not get any of the NVIDIA DX10 demos to work with thees:
http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=220476&page=4
The other thing is that it seems Microsoft has pulled this update off of Windows Update, also pointing towards this issues with DX10.

Thanks for the package, yeah I think it's more than just DX10, I can't get either of the 3dmarks to run and it's downscaling from 1680x1050 to something like 1280x1024 in game. With my rig it could be a couple of things....either N-hancer or the fact im running SLi being possible favourites. I'll spend a bit time at the weekend looking into it or if you find a possible solution shoot me a PM . Cheers

Well, just installed and I had some weird issues...ok ok...by this point I know you are asking "Be more specific." So here it goes. I have a Dell XPS410 with a 7900GS card that came with it and a ViewSonic VX910 digital LCD as my main monitor and a Dell E193FP analog LCD as my secondary. I have the Dell as an extended desktop. What happens is after installing the 101.70 I right click on the desktop and there is a quick distortion of the desktop on my ViewSonic LCD (does not do this on the Dell) kinda like the old CRT monitors when something high powered is sitting next to it and you see the monitor just go all crazy. (hehe...my best description the moment) Now it only does this after the first right click on the desktop any other times it does not. However, I get the same results everytime I go into nVidia Control Panel and not just the first time.
Ok here is the difference I found in the driver. Not sure if it makes a difference, but its the only thing I noticed in the settings. Under the Television settings under the Video & Television options in the Control Panel my ViewSonic (the digital monitor for those who forgot by now in this long message) the 101.70 had only one option labelled "DVI - High def tele over DVI" while the 100.65 has that same option but also has "Auto detect" which is the default option. The 100.65 drivers do not create this quick distortion "feature" that the 101.70 brought about. Anyways...there's my...well five dollars worth on these drivers.

Oh and one more thing...for troubleshooting messures with the 100.65 I did attempt to change the option to the DVI "mode; however, it just put it back to the auto detect after closing the control panel and going back in. I wanted to make sure it wasn't both sets of drivers, so this would indicate its just the newer set.

hey guys, Microsoft pulled the Drivers as Nvidia hasn't released NDA on them yet, AND, the fact that the WU version of the drivers has Broken Dx10 on alot of systems.

These drivers, like all others seems to have a problem with Supreme Commander, or SC has a problem with Nvidia. I can play a while and then one of the driver components breaks, recovers, breaks again. Only a hard reset makes it go away.

I remember a month or so back, that in several benchmarks (in an article that I came across comparing XP and Vista gaming performance) that Supreme commander ran better on vista than on xp, at least from that articles findings. The only thing is I dont remeber where I found it , oh well...

I haven't tried Supreme Commander with 101.70 but the game has been perfectly stable with 101.41, a driver I've returned to in order to see if a series of crashes with Medieval 2 could be related to this leaked beta. Edit: They were not.
