Are you suprised? All of europe hate the UK. Plus the italians are all corrupt with their football match rigging & bribery & cop murdering fans not to mention Matterazi the foul mothed c*nt. Its the least you can expect from country's like that. It's not the first time & it wont be the last.

he has a point, the low scoring nature of the game, when compared to other popular sports, breeds a whole lot of tension, when mixed with racial tension that already exists, and add the copious amounts of alcohol often consumed at sporting events, well, things can get out of hand pretty quickly - just something i've noticed here in aus between groups of different backgrounds
before i come to a conclusion on this, i'd like to read more from a less biased source

I know the UK fans were holding back a bit, but the Italians were fully engaged and the police was enraged. Italy suffers quite a bit from soccer hooliganism and crime and even murder at their sporting events. I imagine if enough UK fans were sufficient in numbers and drink they would have wiped the stadium clean of Italian fans and police I'd wager.

I didn't say death, I said problems.
Also I wasn't that serious about the statement though I do still think Soccer is not worth its weight in entertainment.
