I don't watch TV at all, the shows I do watch are downloaded and played on my PC. Occasionally I watch live video streams of sports events.

I tried that before, hooked up the cable to my ATI Tv Wonder Pro and the picture quality was horrible. It seemed like less trouble to download an HDTV rip of whatever show I wanted to watch.

I have a good sight that I like to go to and stream some of the older shows like old eps of sg1, and atlantis. As for the newer shows, I watch Boston Legal, SG Atlantis, SG SG1, BSG, and Supernatural. If I miss them on tv, I normally grab the torrent for them a few hours after they air. So yeah, pretty much all my tv watching is on the pc. I still havn't sprung for a coaxil usb jack yet..

No multiple choice poll?
I only watch TV on my PC, I don't own an actual TV.

I don't actually watch downloaded programs on my monitor, that would suck. I've got my PC hooked up to my home theatre so it's not inconvenient.

Well I thought i'd give it a try so invested in a halfprice Hauppauge TV stick.....and i'll leave it there. In fact no i'll warn you now, you'll become firm friends with the reset button. I've never had a program cause as many lock-ups or crashes. On top of that, no matter what aerial I try boosted or not I only get half a dozen workable channels at a time. In a final ditch attempt this weekend im gonna run an extension from my Sky TV box.

To answer the question of the thread: Yes.
But none of the poll options fit.

Yes
I do use my PC to watch free digital tv, using a hauppage usb2 box. I do not however use any of the hauppage software, instead opting for a free proggy called GB-PVR, which is very like the MCE interface without the MCE drawbacks. I find it very useful, can set it to record straight from the tv guide, also acts as a music library, dvd player, and video library.

I watch TV on my PC, and I also have had issues with ATI hardware and software, until I got my Theater 550 chip, and now it (TV) runs very smooth.

No interest at all is what I voted for...
Before I got a big TV and DVR I did watch some TV shows on my PC, quite a few actually.. Now since the DVR, I have really no reason to watch anything on the PC monitor except stuff like WRC racing that I cannot get on TV because it is not carried anywhere in the US anymore.
What I'd like to do is hook up a PC to the living-room TV though, so I guess that would be watching "TV on the PC".. but not in the traditional sense.

Free Digital I guess. If I miss a show its usually on the companies website. If my reception sucks, I use tvu player to view streaming content.

When I was signle, I used to watch TV mostly from DVDs. Now I watch a little TV with my fiancee. Had I lived in the US, I'd probably have watched more freely available stuff from the net, and maybe bought some episodes of shows, but I'm not, so the selection available to me is small, unless I use illegal downloads via file sharing, and I'm against that.
