I always prefer to install manually direct from the hardware manufacturer website. It guarantees no problems.
I guess that means the answer to your question is no!

IMO..... i'm even leary about using a program called AUTOPATCHER for windows XP....
I prefer to do the updates that the manufacturers orginally intended and not use the "simplified" versions of the manufacturers installers or whatnot.
IMO the best way is the true tested, original way. Download the latest reference driver, and install, reboot and do the next.
IMO, NEVER install multiple drivers at the same time, even if SOME of them don't require a reboot. This also applies to software (critical software, such as windows updates or patches that usually require a restart).
For autopatcher, i've learnt that letting windows update itself fully first then using autopatcher to cleanup and install the rest is the best way to go.
I also hate using Bios Flashing programs, i prefer to create a bootdisk, plop the bios flasher and bios on it, and reboot and flash it that way.

HawgsHead: You need to use a Subject Title that gives people enough information to know what the thread is about instead of 'teasing' with a lead on. I've edited one of your titles before and will do so with this one. There have been some complaints and you need to comply with the general rules re: posting.
Thank you!

imo.... if anyone is complaining about how someone creates a thread title... they have the choice to ignore it.. or investigate..
imo,
i think hawgs has a pretty good idea in getting people to come into the thread to see wtf is up... it's a draw... a form of "advertising" i guess you could say to get people interesting in what's up.
If people are complaing, they should just .... for lack of a better set of words, screw off.

This isn't a debatable matter, Judas. Thread titles need to be clear enough to INFORM members as to what the discussion/question is about. It's not an ADVERTISING forum.
HawgsHead, if you want to discuss this further, please open a new thread with the properly titled thread. I don't want this one getting filled with with off topic non-debatable comments.
Thank you.
