Soyo kt4 Ultra power issues

ok guyz got a brand new soyo kt4 ultra. everythings pluged in. light comes up on the board when the PSU is turned on.
But when i press the power button nothing happend. no fans, no post, no nothing.

2 Questions.
1) Which direction of the letters of the LED and power switch connecters face on the Mobo?
2) If its not my switch then what else might this problem be?

Triple check all your installed hardware & connections....also try resetting your CMOS.

It most likely isn't your switch because it breaks a timing loop which tells your motherboard to boot up. I don't know the pin layout of your motherboard but look at your manual and the silkscreen on the MB. Most of the time with case connections the pin with the arrow is pin 1....which is "normally" positive. However, even if your power up switch and/or led cables were backwards it should still boot.

well just figured out the led connections are in right.

I took the mobo outa the case to make sure its not shorting
when i did turn it on the fans turned on for about 3-5 seconds. then the fans turn off and then there is a loud constant beep.
However when i press my power button again the beep stops.

I've done it before too...get all done and go to power it up....nothin...then the heart starts racing....look at the back of the case and instantly a sigh of relief and a good old smack on the forehead.

when i boot up a fans start for about 3-5 seconds and then stop and a loud constant beep begins
once i press the power switch again it turns the beep off. Power is getting through the MB.
Me and my buddy are throwin things back into place within the next 15 min ill tell you if i can get a post or not. Or if that loud beep goes away
