Issues doing a "what you hear"

I am runing the 3538m drivers on windows vista ultimate RTM. When I complete a simple routing on the DSP to allow the right and left outputs to be recorded, I do not get this input on the left recording input, but instead I get the microphone input on the left channel. I have included a picture of the DSP setup. (Sorry, had to post it as a page.)

Any help is greatly appreciated.

1) Do not connect FxBus directly to the RecL/RecR inputs of epilog. Insert a gain plugin (or something) in between (you do not need to add any gain or anything to the signal, there just needs to be something in between to act as a buffer).

2) Make sure that any/all sliders on the Recording page of kxmixer are muted, for any signals that you do not want recorded (if your MIC is being recorded, then the AC97 slider is most likely not muted).

Umm....

not sure why it needed a gain in there, it never did before. But, all that matters is that it works now.

Thanks!

It is a known issue, and it is possible that it could work sometimes, but it is better to buffer the connection, as it is unpredictable otherwise.

See the following thread for more info (if such things interest you):
RecL doesn't record if connected...

I do not think it is an issue with ASIO, just do not connect FxBus (the plugin) directly to RecL/RecR of epilog.

Or you could use ProFX:SRC and ADC instead of FXBuss.
Since they already have a 'buffer' build-in they should not suffer from this issue.
