Sad System freeze when plugging in something to the rear jack

It seems that whenever I plug something in the rear jack (it is swapped to be the front) that the system just freezes and I have no choice than to reset the system, this is very unpleasant, to say the least

I did some Googling but nothing useful came up except this on the kX Project Homepage, this quote from the 5.00.3524 changelog:

It seems this bug is back, though it doesn't give a BSOD, just a complete system freeze.

AFAIK, the kX Notification stuff does not apply to the analog jacks on the rear of the card (the headphone notification is related to the LiveDrive headphone connector).

My guess would be that your sound card not seated properly and is loose (and/or your motherboard is possibly loose (less likely)), and you are causing something to move when making connections to your sound card, and that is causing your system to freeze.

Try reseating your sound card, and make sure that it is a tight fit (does not move easily). Verify that your motherboard's screws (if it has any) are tightened properly, such that your motherboard does not move.

Also verify that the power cord for the computer is inserted all the way and is not loose (although that would usually result in rebooting, and not freezing). While you are at it, check all other connections on the back of the computer to be sure that they are not loose (i.e. USB connections, etc (anything that has any type of auto-insertion detection)).

Sorry for replying so late, yeah it seems it is a problem with the card itself, moving it a bit (while it stays properly seated as it was) causes the system to freeze.

I guess the card is a bit busted unfortunately, but otherwise it works just fine though, it's only a bit annoying that to be safe I have to shutdown the computer to reconnect some plugs :/ or be very careful as to not to put too much pressure while connecting them, oh well...
