Problem with ASIO and FL

Hi.
I'm still an amateur in these topics, so I'd appreciate it if you could answer me in a simple way.

I started making music with FL6 recently. I've used it only with it's own synths. Then I got an idea that I could also record with microphone and hardware synths. FL requires changing the output to ASIO when recording, but my sound card (Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS) doesn't use 44100Hz which the program uses. SB wants 48000Hz or 96000Hz. If I record with ASIO (48000Hz), then FL's own synths sound awful as they are originally set to 44100Hz.

What should I try next? I already installed a program called ASIO4Everyone but it didn't help. The problem is that I don't know much of these things and I wish someone would help me out.

I think what you would need to do in such cases is to record at 48000 or 96000, and then use use software to convert it to 44100.

So there isn't a driver or something for SB which would solve the problem? And what kind of software do you mean if there aren't other options? Isn't here anyone who has faced the same problem with FL.

It is recorded in FL Studio as Wave files, right? ...So any Wave editor should do (i.e. Creative WaveStudio, Audacity, etc).

I assume that you mean ASIO4ALL. I am not sure why that did not work for you (I have never tried it myself), but I think even if you are able to record at 44100, it is resampled anyway (except (possibly) in direct recording mode, which I do not think is supported with ASIO recording) because the DSP in these cards are locked at 48000. I am not an expert, and my card is a Live model, so I am not fully aware of all the features that might be supported with your card (i.e. Direct Recording mode and the Creative ASIO driver, etc).

Ok, Russ thank you so much. I should be able to do it now.

BUT! If someone else here has experience of making music with FL, please tell me if you have an easier solution so that I don't have to jump between programs constantly.

i'm not sure if this helps but if you wouldn't mind starting over you could just select 48khz in FL options as default. so your soft synths would be designed in 48khz originally and you wouldn't have problems with recording. there also might be a way to convert a project from 44.1 to 48 but i don't know...
