Will you vote for Hillary?

Simple yes or no for the vote and reason why or why not in the thread will be good enough. I would rather not have this turn into bickering.

Nope, because I think chances are she was running things last time a Clinton was in house and our country fell domestically.

Also, keep in mind that changes made by a President usually don't show till after their term

HELL no!

1) She is a Cliton. Willie caused us enough trouble during his reign of terror.
2) She has no real experience compared to the "average" person that gets seriously taken as a candidate for the office. The only reason she has gotten what she has politically is because she has ridden on the coattails of her hubby and the power base he created during his presidency.
3) She is a lying, hypocritical, power grabbing douche bag. (admittedly 90% of all politicians fit this description...)
4) Though I think the time for a female prez is drawing near, I don't thin it is here yet. (Please keep in mind that I think a female can be just as good or bad in the office as a male can.) I believe that the geo political view of the US is currently pretty bad. I also think that too many "powers" in the world view women as inferior. I think that combo would be a bad thing. I believe that the first female prez should take office at a point when a smaller portion of the world actively hates the US than is currently the case.

What I also think is that Hillary is just like the majority of the ancient money/power grubbing elitists that run this country now. They are so totally pre-occupied with maintaining their position, currying favor with the pacs the their lobbyists that they have long ago lost any interest in actually trying to do what needs to be done for the country. Often times I think the only thing politicians want is to make government bigger and more complicated(thus increasing their control & insuring their position). What I would REALLY like to see is a term limit on every political office, and a freezing of all assets of politicians so that they are unable to benefit from their time in office. Take em all & make them live in a dorm during their time of service (SERVICE - that is what they are supposed to be doing) and make em live like normal people - buy gas, and groceries and such. Create some kind of serious campaign financing structure so we can get some idea of what these people actually believe and will do rather than what they want us to hear so we will vote for em. I'd like it to actually be unpleasant to be in office so that maybe we could get some people in place that would only be there to help improve the country instead of anything else.

I'd sooner vote for Bush again (OK, maybe not...)

Don't care for her at all, though my wife worships the ground she walks on, so we have some interesting conversations.

Anyone who would first of all wed someone like Bill Clinton, secondly, stay with the scumbag when she knew damn well what he was, and thirdly, use that attention to promote her own policitcal career makes me ill. Personally, I think she can't be trusted. Too much self serving in the past (White Water anyone?). She should honestly be in prison for that.

She's also not done a damn thing for NY, and why should she, not like she's even from here.

Point is, there are plenty better candidates (I think maybe 1600 or so now, right?). I am also terrified by the idea of a Democratic controlled House, Senate, and Executive. Not that I vote by a party (I vote for the person), but there has to be checks and balances.

It should be an interesting couple of years. That is a long time for her to walk on egg shells. Odds are, she doesn't stand a chance anyway, too many people can't stand her (god, I hope so).

I agree that who ever controls congress should not have executive power. If I voted (which I may this year) I would never vote by party. I think most people join a party thinking it is the lesser of two evils when they are equally evil.

I would like to see the views of those voted yes and their reasoning behind it. Keep in mind this thread is not about attacking other's point of views because they are different but instead discussing the foundation on which they have made their choice (the facts and opinions).

I made my points in the thread that got closed So I will not repeat them here.

One new point though on a personal level. A relative of mine has met her in person several times in his capacity with the military. He absolutely despises her as a phony, controlling witch. I value his judgment but I had made up my mind long before I heard his stories.

If I could, I wouldn't. I don't trust her. She is so obviously power hungry that makes her IMO the worst person for the job.

I thought there was a two term limit?!?

Watching US presidential elections makes me glad to live in a country which does not elect its Prime Minister lol.

Can you imagine if the US picked a president from the ranks of congress?
The last three presidents would have been.
Newt Gingrich
Dennis Hastert
Nancy Pelosi

You think we have problems now...

And yes, since Franklin Roosevelt's 4 terms, term limit for president is two elected consecutive terms of 4 years each.
You can become president by succession then get elected twice and have more than that but it has never happened. (Johnson and Ford were not elected twice)

The legislature has no term limits. This has resulted in skeletons being elected over and over. There should be an upper age limit but there is not.
And just to stay on topic... There is a state residency requirement to being elected to congress. Hillary bought a house in New York just before the election and circumvented the spirit of the law.

It will be very interesting to see who comes out on top in the democratic race. Hillery or Barack..

If the race is close I could see the loser potentially going independent Splitting the vote and allowing a Republican to win.

On the other hand if they were to join forces they would have the potential to sweep the election by the widest margin since Reagen's re-election.

I had no idea DH users were so right wing!

IMO the world was a much safer place on Bill's watch than it is now.

Oops, I'm supposed to stay out of politics!

How will this make Hillary a good president? The country would be safer now if Clinton would have gone after Osama. He even said he should of gone after him. There was plenty of opportunites for Clinton to capture Osama. I'm blaming Clinton, it just there are many things that caused 9/11 and not killing or capturing Osama is one of them.

If she was shot dead I would be a very happy man. She's trying to ruin video games, she's a Clinton, and she's ugly... Not to mention a retard. Rudolf Guiliani all the way baby.

No. He wasn't born here in the states and I don't think we should change that. There is a reason why we have that law in place.

That way only rednecks can be presidents?

Jokes aside, what does it change? Your country is FOUNDED on immigration and religion... Personally, I find it contradictory to the creation of the US what you just said but meh
