sdEffekt for 10 band EQ
hello dear Kxproject team and fans, I have been using the kx driver with my audigy 2 and Teufel Magnum speakers for more than 2 years now... but really just using it, never tried some new stuff or plugins, simply cause I am not really fit in sound engeneering... So today I was listening to some good music and then I wondered if there are more sound Effects I can download for the kx driver so that I can have more Effects for 10 Band EQ, for the moment I have only the standard 8 ones... Can anyone help me, posting a link or two where I can get those effects and tell me please where or to which Directory I need to copy them. I'd be very gratefull for your help. Thanks. User

I assume that you mean more presets for the 10BandEQ...
I have not seen any ready made one's for you to add, but it is easy enough to add your own. Just make the settings the way you want, and then choose the 'Save' option from the preset options, and give it whatever name you want. If you are unsure of what settings to use, you can always copy the settings from your favorite software EQ (i.e. you could take note of the settings used by the built in EQ from Windows Media Player, and recreate all of its presets if you wanted, etc).

Hi Russ,
yes that what exactly what I was looking for! Hmmm now am sad, I thought there might be some presets to load.... so I will have to tune my ears and try to put some together and save them.... is there any software you know about that has a lot of Presets and from which I can take note of some...? The sound-card-Software (audigy 2)-I can remember- had loads of sound presets like: Hall, Bathroom... and some other awsome ones... no I guess to recreate such sounds one certainly need some knowledge abt. sound engeneering! I wonder if there is any way to get such Sound-Presets without having to use another driver such as the original creative software...
Thank you very much for your help.

hall bathroom? that's EAX crap, not EQ, more of a reverb
kX does have the eax effects engines, if you want to mess in the DSP you can add it in

Right (what dj_stick said), Hall, Bathroom, etc, are usually Reverb presets (and some of the Reverb plugins included with kX have such built-in presets). As for the Audio Console, that is more than just EQ settings, it is full DSP configurations. You can make similair configs in kX, and save/load them as well, but it is a little more complicated (but well worth the effort) than EQ presets.
You should read the kX Help and the available guides to learn about the DSP, and learn how to make your own custom configurations.

Hi NewOldUser and all:
Yes, I believe the starter of this thread is referring to the EAX effects, such as Reverbs you have already mentioned , and stuff like the chipmunk sound, and male voice to female voice, etc.
@NewOldUser
You can get Max M.'s UFX pack, and play around with the Reverb R plug in, and Tiger M's EF-X ReverbStation for reverb presets (note that Tiger M's EF-X ReverbStation uses a lot of the iTram Memory resource, so you will have to use a custom kX DSP setup (note that ProFX plugins use little resources, so you may want to use them).
As for the chipmunk sound, and male voice to female voice types of effects, well, you can start a thread and make a request to one of the kX communty programmers to make such a plug in fo kX.
I hope that helps.
Cya all around.

The 'APS Pitch' plugin does a pretty good job with vocals.

@Russ
I'll have to play around with that plug in, and see what I can do with it.
Thanks for the info.
